Colors Shape the World

As a painter I have a fascination towards colors and their relationships. Not only does color function as a formal element in my work, it is also integral to the subject matter of my paintings.

The current project I am working on uses vintage images as a reference.
I am focusing on painting from pictures of men in vintage queer magazines; some of
which were, and still are, considered controversial by the mainstream. My intention is to portray how these men are seen as objects in the original art form, while also delving into their human-nes. I am reinventing these images through painting, and in some way, these men represent me and my love for the feeling of nostalgia.
